In this COIL Conversation, Kyle Bowen and Kyle Peck, two leaders of educational change and technology, discuss the forces impacting Penn State and how the institution is responding. From 3-D printing to flexible learning spaces and microcredentialing, Penn State has accepted the challenge to transform the student experience.

What’s around the corner and how are we positioned to improve all aspects of education at Penn State? What might we do to help Penn State become the nimble, change-friendly environment that will best position us to make the most of the emerging opportunities?

Kyle Bowen, Director of Education Technology Services at Penn State, leads University efforts for effective uses of technology for teaching and learning. Kyle oversees a portfolio of services, including instructional design, faculty research support, learning spaces, digital media development, and the exploration of emerging technologies.

Dr. Kyle L. Peck is Professor of Education and Co-Director of the Center for Online Innovation in Learning (COIL) at Penn State University.  He studies and applies innovations in education, and his current interests include learning online, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and digital badges in education.
